It’s time for spring cleaning! Just as it's good to get all the junk and dirt out of the house, and clean up the yard, it is vitally importantly to clean our body. Spring is the time when the body is trying to throw off the heavy food and accumulated wastes from the winter, and so the liver gets over-loaded and could use some help.
As the largest solid organ in our body, the liver does more jobs than any other organ. In fact, science doesn't even know all that it does. What we do know is that, it creates glucose which gives us energy. It also makes enzymes, creates hormones, breaks down fat, kills bacteria and virus, synthesizes protein, and stores immune cells and vitamins.
The liver is the ultimate detoxification organ in our body. Everything we eat and drink is digested and travels to the liver first, before entering our blood stream. It's like a safety check. Our liver produces enzymes and other chemicals that neutralize all the harmful and toxic substances in our food and water. A healthy liver contains millions of immune cells called macrophages which literally kill and eat parasites, bacteria, virus, fungus, poison, toxin, or chemicals they come in contact with.
Any serious disease of the liver is usually terminal. In fact, many herbalists and naturopaths claim that a person must first develops a malfunctioning or weak liver before getting cancer. The reverse of this can be true, so it is vital that the liver be kept strong and working properly.
As I muscle-test clients, I find that most every adult's liver tests weak; children rarely do. Often we say we wish we had as much energy as children do. Well maybe we better clean our livers so they are more like a child’s.
In our toxic culture, everyone needs to cleanse their liver at least once a year. Spring is the best time to do this. One easy way to clean the liver is to take Herbs4You Liver Tincture. It has been very effective in strengthening the liver. With most people, after they finish one 2 oz. bottle, their liver muscle-tests strong. Those with chronic conditions, or those who have undergone a lot of chemical treatment, may need to do a more thorough liver cleanse.
Happy Spring Cleaning!
