Looks like we will be having more sunshine. It really is energizing to get outside. We've already been enjoying lettuce from our garden.
Today, I want to talk about one of the services we provide at Herbs4You. It is called Applied Kinesiology, also known as muscle-testing.
Applied Kinesiology
The theory of AK was developed by George Goodheart, Jr., a Michigan chiropractor who began to write and lecture about his ideas in 1964. It has been used by various health practitioners to help find food sensitivities, organ disturbances, infections, or different weakness in the body. It can also be used to determine what supplements or herbal remedies will work. The principles of AK are similar to how a lie-detector works. Lie detectors measure minute changes in the body including muscular contractions. Through the skill of the technician, he is able to determine when a person is lying or telling the truth, because our body has a physiological response. Likewise, through our own muscular responses, AK or muscle-testing is able to help determine several things, such as food sensitivities, where there is weakness in the body, infections, what supplements help or hurt the body, and organ weakness. A practitioner may use different methods, and their ability may vary, but the underlying principles of AK remain similar.
Benefits of Applied Kinesiology
Medical doctors diagnose and treat disease, yet before we have a full-blown disease, our body will develop weaknesses in different areas and organs. Often muscle-testing can find these weaknesses before they become a diagnosable disease. Then by strengthening different areas and organs a person can avoid developing a disease. For instance, I've had several clients show a thyroid weakness, even though blood tests were within normal range. By dealing with this, symptoms they were experiencing went away.
Another example is when a person has a hard time sleeping, the problem could be the liver, thyroid, adrenal, or hormonal. Muscle-testing will help identify which of these could be the underlying cause. This can be true with obesity, frequent infections, fatigue, indigestion, intestinal pains, and so forth.
What We Do
I have been using simple muscle-testing methods for over 10 years. At Herbs4You, I test all the major organs and glands as well as different body systems, such as adrenal, thyroid, heart, lung, stomach, intestines, kidney, bladder, liver, spleen, pancreas, pineal, pituitary, digestion, lymphatic, brain chemistry, toxic heavy metals, infections (bacteria, virus, parasite, yeast), food sensitivity, and more. By testing these on a scale, we are able to then evaluate the overall condition and health of a client.
Based on the information that we receive, we then choose the herbs and supplements that will best help the client. Most people show an improvement in as short as two weeks.
If you haven't done muscle-testing yet, now is the time to call or email us and set up an appointment.
