Bring Your Backpacks to Church
Children and Youth are invited to bring their backpacks to church this Sunday to be Blessed by Father Craige.

All Children and Youth will gather with Father Craige, Andrew, and Ms.Tapley at the front of the sanctuary during the Peace for the Blessing of the Backpacks.

All are invited to join in the Bell Tower after the 10am service to enjoy some back to school treats!
There's Still Time...

to help one of our neighborhood Title I school's,
Minnie Hughes Elementary School. There are multiple ways to help this sweet school...
  • bring in school supplies to help overflow the shopping cart
  • return the backpacks that you generously filled with school supplies
  • donate money and the CSP staff can do the shopping for you!

The teachers and children especially need copy paper, glue sticks, pencils, and flash drives.
Special Time in the Word
August 18th and 25th at 9:00am

Remembering Our Call
to the Great Commission
Join Fr. Craige and your vestry for a special two week Time in the Word to hear updates from the recent ACNA Assembly that Fr. Craige attended while representing the Diocese of SC.

One of the more exciting things was the official release of the 2019 ACNA Book of Common Prayer. They will also discuss the most recent legal updates.

This is your opportunity to come and ask questions and have conversations as we move forward as a parish family and Diocese in the Anglican Church of North America.
Sunday, September 8th

Kick off to the Fall Programs and Series
After services, Rally Day Fun continues at Camp St. Christopher. CSP has reserved the Picnic Pavillion for lunch and access to the beach! Come by car or by boat and celebrate the last rays of summer together as a parish family.

While at the beach, we will reaffirm our Baptism Vows. If anyone is interested in an Ocean Baptism, please let the church office know.
Back to School Sunday
After the children meet Ms. Tapley in the Narthex and process in with their bookbags, they will continue to KidZone. Once in KidZone, the children will study Proverbs 13:4 and how this passage can provide tools for a successful school year.
KidZone Leaders: Johnny & Loretta Butler, Scott Kitchens, Stacy Mathis, Bruce Puckett, and Christine Seabrook

Soul Keeping
by John Ortberg

Women's Bible Study coming in September
Monday nights at CSP

The soul is the coolest, eeriest, most mysterious, sacred, eternal, life-directing, fragile, indestructible, controversial dimension of your existence. Jesus said it’s worth more than the world.

Shouldn’t you get pretty clear on exactly what it is? Shouldn’t you know what it runs on? Wouldn’t it be worth knowing how to care for it?
