Screenocean to Represent Clips & Footage
November 2015 –– Screenocean who manage clip sales for Channel 4, Channel 5, TwoFour, Shed Media, et al, has reached an agreement with Clips & Footage to become the exclusive clips sales agent for their collection. The agreement also includes representation of clips from Historic Films, the Mountbatten collection and several other archival libraries.
Clips & Footage has been a leading supplier of archival footage since 1998 with clients including major global broadcasters, advertising agencies and a whole host of independent production companies. The agreement with Screenocean has been part of an ongoing digitisation process which has seen the development of a new website, clipsandfootage.com where registered users can download low-res footage and/or request the high resolution master copies. This has transformed the way in which clients can access the archive library, providing an attractive and easy to use online video platform.
Duncan Roxburgh from Clips & Footage will be joining Paul McAllister at Screenocean to help integrate the new collections and to offer clients their bespoke research skills.
Tony Blake of Screenocean said:
“We are delighted to be representing this award-winning footage library collection and look forward to working closely with Clips & Footage in future.”
Alison Mercer, owner of Clips & Footage said:
“In our search for a clip sales partner it was important that we found someone that mirrored our ambition to use the latest technology and combine it with research expertise to create real value from my collection and those that we represent. Screenocean fits the bill perfectly.”
