Updates on the Membership, fundraising & campaigns!
Blesma Members, staff and corporate supporters joined the Woodard Racing Team at Brand's Hatch circuit this month to experience Member David Birrell's excellent driving skills! Davie lost both legs in Afghanistan, and drives the Mini pictured with no special adaptations. Read more about him and his aims in the racing world on our website here.

The days are getting longer...

And at Blesma our Fundraising and Member activity programmes are well under way!

A group of Members have recently returned from La Plagne in France having tried out a mixture of winter sports, including some for the first time. From beginners to experts, Members Corie Mapp and Owen Pick have won medals on the world stage (a bronze for Corie and a silver for Owen) in bob-sleighing and snow boarding respectively! Check out our Twitter and Instagram feeds for photos!

Blesma are looking for thrill-seekers to take on a tandem skydive for our Fall for the Fallen fundraiser in August!  Click on the image above for more information about the event and how to sign up!

Rifleman Craig Wood was just 18 when he was blown up by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan, losing both legs and his left arm. Now he is planning on sailing around Britain! Read more about Craig by clicking on his image, or about other Members on our website here.

Blesma are proud to be one of the beneficiary charities of this year's Row2Recovery. Member Jordan Beecher and his friend Captain Jon Armstrong will be rowing the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in December, but the preparation has already started! Click on the image above for more information.

February has been 'Bake for Blesma' month, but the baking by no means stops on the 28th! A cake sale is a great way to enjoy some yummy treats and raise money for charity. An Army marches on its stomach and above are members of the Royal Horse Artillery getting stuck in and raising a fantastic £250 in just one morning!
