Sharing lived experience of stroke at WSC 2022

Finland Brain Health Programme

At the World Stroke Congress we shared 70 testimonials from people with lived experience of stroke from 25 countries. The testimonials were shown on a screen in the exhibition hall and on walk in slides in congress sessions. Thank you to everyone who shared their story. Check out the testimonial exhibition on Stroke Connector.

In its 45th Year, the Finnish Brain Association, is launching a national Brain Health Programme under the theme “What the brain likes and what it needs”. The Association and coordinating partners have developed a national brain health programme highlighting protective factors, together with a preventive and impact-based approach.

Stroke Exchange Forum 2022

At the World Stroke Congress in Singapore we held the Stroke Exchange Forum, a side event to facilitate exchange between SSOs and stroke advocates in South and South East Asia. The event included panel discussions on collaboration, meaningful involvement and snapshots of the current status of stroke care in the region. Thank you to all of our speakers who gave their time and to Dr Wan Asyraf, Dr Shamala Thilarajah and Tracy Chan for their help in  delivering the event. You can access recordings of the panel discussions and the slides on Stroke Connector.
