Sharing news and examples of stroke advocacy and support

We're pleased to bring you the first Stroke Connector update in 2023. This year we hope to share even more stroke advocacy and support resources from around the world on our online hub. We will continue to raise the visibility of people with lived experience of stroke, their recovery journeys and contribution to improving stroke care and support.

Making a mark at the World Stroke Congress 2022

Stroke survivors all over the world are developing tools and resources to support others in their recovery journey. This month we have added links to Stacie Broek's website with tools to support recovery and Terence Ang's Grateful Steps platform, including news of his latest book 'Emerging from the Dark'.

The 2022 World Stroke Congress was an important opportunity to ensure we heard from people in the region with lived experience of stroke as well as from SSOs and their community programmes. Read our blog and watch the videos from people with lived experience and SSOs about their involvement in the Congress.

In 2023 the World Stroke Congress will take place in Toronto from October 10-12th
