Nordic newsletter # 1, 2021

Dear friends,

If there is one thing we’ve all had practice on in the past year it must be to Adapt. By now, the Nordic Business Travel Summit has been planned as a wholly physical event, then a hybrid event and is now changed into a 100% virtual event. As we met late last week, we realised that we really are preparing a whole new event – and therefore updated the name and graphic design to make that clear. We are super excited about the event and aim to deliver an exceptional experience to you!
Nordic Business Travel Awards

During NBTS we wish to acknowledge travel industry professionals, both buyers and suppliers, who have managed to use this year to strengthen their relationships and restructure their work. We will award a Travel Manager who has managed to navigate “best in class” through the pandemic situation and raised the profile of travel management in exceptional circumstances and times of disruption.

We will also award one or two Travel Suppliers who have “gone the extra mile” for their clients, who have stepped up to the challenge and delivered something “extra” to their customers. Click here to nominate a Travel Supplier. You can nominate several, just re-use the link.

Nordic Webinars

We started with our highly popular Nordic webinars early last year, as we realised that the need to deliver high-level content to members became more important than ever. We will keep the webinars coming, as one form of our increasing Nordic cooperation.

Next up:

Creating a Strategic Meetings Management Program – with a highlight on stakeholder engagement and measuring success.
2 March at 14.00 CET/15.00 Finnish time

Also, if the Posted Worker Directive and A1 are in your scope, there will be a GBTA webinar worth attending on February 11th  at 15.00 CET/16.00 Finnish time.

Cross-country Buyer Membership and Nordic web site

The four Nordic boards have agreed on a cross-country buyer membership: If your organization has membership in one of the associations, you have the opportunity to sign up colleagues in one or more of the other countries at a discounted rate. A great opportunity for companies with a Nordic travel team! Click here for more information. This applies only to BUYER MEMBERS at the moment.

Last, but not least – we have built a Nordic landing page, where you can find calendar events from all four associations in one place. You can learn more about what we do together, about our GBTA partnership etc. We will keep filling it with information in English. You can reach the landing page the Nordic webpage here.

We hope that those of you who have not yet signed up for NBTS will do so and that we will all e-meet in March!
Best regards,
