Community Center building

The building process is moving along! Before this winter, we can report good things happened and here are some of the things that are resolved:
  • The Wood House and the terrace for summer activities is 90% done. It is painted; it is insulated and almost done with the electricity. We want to add a security system and we will use it as storage for a while!
  • The well is there and can be connected up to the buildings by next summer. They tell us the well holds 2500 liters per hour! We believe it is enough!

The electricity is there! We are able to connect the wood house!
  • Thanks to AMEN Trust for their support. First stage concerning electricity connection it is done. We have it and over the next few days we will put in the ground part of the connections.
  • The foundation for the main building is there already! The winters can be hard in the area, so we will continue with the brick work in the spring time.
  • We have a beautiful donation from with great kitchen tools. Beside that also different materials that can help us for building. Things are coming together for the main building of Community Center!
Keep in your prayers about the offers of construction companies to fit our budget and also the decisions that we make (for the example: the heating system) to be helpful for long term costs of maintenance!

After School Program

Three years ago we started to help these kids one day per week; last year we offer 3 days per week program. This year we want to feed them and to offer homework support for all 5 days!
Last year there were about 14 kids, now we have 21 kids registered in the program, 3 of them have come back after 2 years of abandoning the school system. We rented a bus to bring them to Danes for a better system: instead rather than all in one class room without running water and no toilets, everyone could be in the right age class and all the normal facilities offered to them.

We need you to be part of this!  We are looking for 21 partners to “adopt” one child with £25/30 euros/$35 per month. This will help to cover the cost of  hot lunches, the bus cost that transports them from Rora to Danes and back, and homework help of three hours per day Monday to Wednesday and one hour per day for Thursday and Friday.
Please share this need with your family, friends, church and let’s bring these kids to a better level of education, to a greater opportunities to live better for themselves and their families.
Trip to England

Please keep us in your prayers because between 12th and 21st of November, me, Elena, Thomas and Matthias will travel to the UK for presentations about Perspective Danes project updates and meetings with friends . Thomas will stay with Elena’s sister in Bristol (she has lived there for a few years) and three of us will travel by around the country. We pray for specific need of 250+ pounds to be able to cover part of our transportation costs!
If you are from UK or you are in the area and you want to see us, please write us and we will give you more details!
Be a part with us!
If you are from Unites States of America, United Kingdom or Nederland, you can choose to donate through our partners that will help with tax deductible system, but also offer you a safe, secure and easy way to be partners with us!
Thank you!
