M-CERSI Accepting Applications for Workshops, Research Scientists
The University of Maryland Center of Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation (M-CERSI) is now accepting requests for workshop topics in partnership with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as applications for the M-CERSI/FDA Research Scientist Collaboration program. The deadline for both submissions is Jan. 22, 2021.
M-CERSI focuses on modernizing and improving the way drugs and medical devices are reviewed and evaluated. Housed within the Fischell Institute, this center is a collaborative partnership between the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Researchers from both campuses work with FDA staff to support the development of new tools, standards, and approaches to assess the safety, efficacy, quality, and performance of FDA-regulated products.
