NABERS for Apartments
NABERS is to be piloted in April 2018 in the residential sector. It will cover "Centrally managed energy & water use in a single strata scheme - paid for by the Owners Corporation" according to the recent stakeholder workshop.
Wattblock will be keeping people updated on the progress. Click here to stay informed.
Podcasts
Wattblock has been featured on two different podcasts this month, including top-rated strata podcast, Amanda Farmer's Your Strata Property and Melbourne-based Beyond Zero Emissions.

Strata Manager Portal Upgrade
Wattblock’s online portal for strata managers streamlines the upload of documentation needed for energy, solar, EV reports and future NABERS ratings. A number of strata management groups now operate a number of brands. We are now trialling support for multiple brands, multiple offices per brand and multiple managers/assistants per office, required for scale-out.

Strata Community Australia (NSW) Conference
Wattblock attended the SCA NSW conference again this year at The Hilton. Cladding was a key theme this year in the wake of Grenfell. Congratulations to Christine Byrne from GreenStrata on taking out the President's Award.

StrataChoice Developer Workshop
StrataChoice invited Wattblock, OC Energy and Colin Biggers & Paisley to speak at a seminar for property developers on all things NABERS, Electric Vehicles and Embedded Networks. You can view the presentation here.

Kur-ing-gai Council joining EV in Strata Survey
Kuringgai Council has been running the Smart Units program which provides up to a $1,000 subsidy off an energy assessment and up to $3,000 off an environmental upgrade. Stratas can apply here. Kuringgai is now supporting Wattblock's National EV Strata survey which has now engaged over 100 strata blocks and Kuringgai apartment blocks can register here.
