UCD Business School London Dinner  - November 8th
On Thursday November 8th, the inaugural UCD Business School London Dinner took place at the Savoy Hotel, Simpsons in the strand, Regency ballroom, London. The guest of honour on the night was Francesca McDonagh, Group Chief Executive Officer at Bank of Ireland Group who gave a keynote speech. To view photos from the event click here. UCD Alumni Awards 2018 - November 9th
We were delighted to welcome over 400 distinguished graduates, friends and staff of UCD to the 2018 UCD Alumni Awards which took place on November 9th at a black-tie ceremony in O'Reilly Hall. Each year, the UCD Alumni Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of our global alumni who have made an exceptional contribution in their chosen field. Jane Ann McKenna was this years recipient of the UCD Alumni Award in Business. Jonathan Sexton Announced as World Rugby Men's 15's Player of the Year 2018 
UCD BComm Alumnus Jonathan Sexton was recently crowned as the World Rugby Player of the Year at a ceremony in Monte Carlo. Ireland were also named as the World Rugby Team of the year after losing just one game in 2018. To read more click here.
Sri Lanka 2018 Alumnus of the Year Announced
Pradeep Siriwardane, CEO/General Manager of Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, Serial entrepreneur and Founder of Runiti has been named as the Sri Lanka Alumnus of the Year for 2018. Runiti is the first green and eco sustainable homestay and budget hotel website in Sri Lanka.
Fun Unplugged: A new book designed to get kids off their screens
The book encourages kids to outsmart their parents with fun jokes, puzzles and tricks, philosophical questions and much more. Future of Work Expert, Peter Cosgrove, a UCD BComm & MBS alumnus has turned his attention to the Future of Kids in this, his first book, Fun Unplugged. CMO 100 2018 Index Announced
Earlier this month, Business & Finance released the annual CMO 100 2018 index recognizing some of Ireland's top marketing professionals. UCD Smurfit School Business Journalist Awards 2018 
Ireland’s leading business journalists were recognised on December 3rd at the 12th annual UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School Business Journalist Awards held at the Westbury Hotel, Dublin. The awards, which recognise excellence in business journalism – in print, broadcast and online formats – were sponsored by Bank of Ireland and run in conjunction with the Business Journalists Association of Ireland. Group urging firms to Disclose Greenhouse Emissions Launches in Dublin
The “100% Club”, a joint academic and industry initiative, spearheaded by leading academic institutions including Imperial College London Business School (ICLBS) and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, have challenged companies throughout the world to reveal annually the full extent of their greenhouse gas emissions.
