Quinn School Graduate Named on Forbes '30 Under 30' List.
The fourth annual Europe list recognises 300 people who are making waves in various industries. BBL alumnus Kevin Glynn, co-founder of Butternut Box, a petcare startup, was acknowledged in the Retail and E-commerce category. The company, which was established in 2016, has raised $8 million in investment. Read more.

Distillery Chief Finds Perfect Match
Drumshanbo in Co Leitrim was selected by drinks industry veteran & UCD BComm Alumnus Pat Rigney as the home for The Shed Distillery back in 2013 for personal as well as business reasons, and there's a touch of romance to the tale. Read more.

Not wanting to shy from his obligations, UCD BComm alumnus David Nihill embraced his fears of public speaking and embarked on a one-year crash course in stand-up comedy. He wrote a book – Do You Talk Funny? – to teach others how to learn the key principles of stand-up comedy and to apply them to speaking engagements and presentations. Read more.

Association of MBA's Excellence Awards & Gala Dinner - February 1st
The Association of MBA's Excellence Awards & Gala Dinner took place on February 1st in London. As founder of Irish charity CHEEERS: Developing Healthcare Together, Stuart Garrett, Smurfit EMBA 2018, was a nominee for the MBA Entrepreneurial Venture Award (Charity Sector). Drones - Privacy Main Concern Despite Opportunities Technology Presents
Research carried out by students of the MSc in Management Consulting at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School on behalf of PwC, reveals that the majority (88%) of Irish business leaders and consumers believe that the public perception of drones is negative. The research also reveals that most (85%), are lukewarm about commercial drone use.

UCD Quinn School of Business - Internship Programme
The UCD Quinn School of Business Summer Internship Programme 2019 is currently engaging Dublin based organisations interested in hosting unpaid business interns for a 6 week placement commencing from June 17th - July 27th (Mondays to Thursdays). This programme attracts applications from students in top tier undergraduate business schools in the US. For more information click here.
Nova UCD Supported Companies Have Raised €760m
UCD has supported over 360 companies and early-stage ventures through the services and supports provided by NovaUCD. The combined annual turnover of the companies surveyed amounted to over €113 million in 2018 and collectively they currently employ over 1,040 people directly, more than 950 of whom are based in Ireland.
