Updates to the Boxall Profile Online

Over the summer NGN worked to improve the Boxall Profile online and added new functionalities for the new academic year!

Below is a list of all the updates we have made over summer. Please go through them carefully to familiarise yourself with the new features and contact us if you have any questions.
BP2017 and Re-standardisation of the Boxall Profile:
In September 2017 we re-standardised the Boxall Profile for children and released the Boxall Profile 2017 (BP2017). The new norms are now used by default on the website if users are assessing a child between 3 and 11 years old. Please note the Boxall Profile for Young People remains unchanged.
In addition to updating the norms for the strands, we also updated the norms for Total Developmental and Total Diagnostic scores (at the bottom of the BP report).
On the BP report, the design of the strands has changed to make it easier to read the data. Both the child’s data (grey diamond) and the norms (in green) are now on one scale.
Depending on the age of the child or young person, the website automatically selects the correct type of Boxall Profile to use. However under certain circumstances it is useful for practitioners to manually select the type of Boxall they want to use. This is now possible when you create a new Boxall Profile on the “Start New assessment” page, in “Show Advanced Options”.
On your dashboard, you can now download all your Boxall Profile data in an Excel / csv format. Click on “Data of All BPs”.

You can also access all your EBPs by clicking on “All EBPs”.

The “Look up” function to access individual EBPs has moved. Look out for the green “Look-up” button!
On the dashboard, you can create groups of pupils, generate overviews of the data and download the groups’ data.
Once you have created a group, you can add or remove EBPs in the “List EBPs”. You can generate the overview by clicking on the “Overview” button. You can also select for each pupil, which Boxall Profile you want to display by filtering the data by date or selecting the specific date of the assessment.
Once the overview is ready you can download it as PDF or as an Excel spreadsheet.
On “My EBPs” page you can now create new EBPs.

You can access an EBP by clicking on the green button on the left hand side.

You can filter your EBPs by date / Classes / Year groups and add specific EBPs to a group of pupils.
On each EBP’s page, you can edit the EBP details (age, gender) or delete the EBP. But remember that any changes you make will affect all the Boxalls you’ve done until now. And if you delete an EBP, all the data will be deleted as well!
You can also edit or delete single Boxall Profiles, and add an EBP to a group of your choice.
