Spiritual Gifts and Motivational Gifts are Different
I am asked all the time, "Are motivational gifts the same as spiritual gifts?" The answer is, no. They are distinctly different. You rarely hear sermons or teachings about the motivational gifts, and when you do, they are often confused with spiritual gifts or are labeled the same. In fact, I've NEVER heard a teaching on them. That's why when I discovered these beautiful gifts -- that we are all born with -- I had to know more.

I've decided to begin a blog series about this very topic. We'll start with the actual scriptures where the motivational gifts are mentioned and then move into more detailed explanation about each one. I'll write them on Anna's blog then post a link to the Anna's Friends newsletters so you won't have to sign up for anything else...like you already have enough emails coming at you, right? Or, you can simply visit the blog about every other week. The blogs will be written around the first of the month and the middle. You can check out the first one now!

Hope you are enjoying the new school year! Parent's are the rock to their children...I guess that's why you ROCK!!

God bless,

Anna and Yvonne

Oh, the picture at the right is me and my mom going shopping for some new clothes for school this year. I grew a little bit so my old clothes aren't fitting as well as they used to.

SPIRITUAL (Manifestation) GIFTS and MOTIVATIONAL GIFTS. What is the difference?

Of the three categories of gifts mentioned in the bible: ministry (Ephesians), spiritual (Corinthians), and motivational (Romans), I am enamored with motivational gifts. Since the very first time I learned about them, I understood the great need for people of faith to understand these beautiful expressions of God's love.

*** CHECK OUT OUR FALL SPECIAL ***

Offer good through end of November 2016
The open house for the Homecircle of Hernando, in Brooksville, FL was a real smash! I was told there were about 180 people who came to check out our stuff. Thanks to all the great moms and dads who stopped by my table, and thanks Jenny and Spring for your kindness.

I must share this story! I was carrying an arm load of bags and boxes out the door and three adults came in and passed by me seeing that I was totally overloaded. After the last person came through the door and I could then go out, a little girl, 9-years old held the door open for me and asked, "Do you need some help?" She was absolutely adorable and is a textbook "server". She carried one of my bags to the car for me and then asked, "What else can I do to help you?" We had a lovely conversation and I told her all about her special gift as a server. She exhibited the love of God by helping me when I was overloaded.

Understanding What Motivates Your Child

In this one hour forum you will learn why your children respond to life the way they do. You will learn why they get along with some children really well and others not so well, why some barely speak 10 sentences in a day and others are boisterous or flamboyant. Does your child like to emulate you and do what you do? Then he/she may be exhibiting traits that are common to the gift of service. Does your child have a strong tendency to make notes to him/herself and seem bossy—even rebellious—at times? They just might be the next community leader. Or, does your child love to get up in front of people and be the center of attention? You may have an exhorter (encourager) on your hands. The seven motivational gifts are found in the book of Romans 12:6-8.
