Thank you for continuing to share your feedback by filling out surveys, catching us in the hallways, emailing, and meeting with our DLS administrative team and staff. We appreciate hearing about what works well for students and families as well as gaining insight into ways that we can improve our practices. We speak to as many members of our school community as possible every year to get a sense of both individual and collective needs. We create an action plan as an administrative team to address areas of concern. Our DLS Board of Directors also revises the school strategic plan in collaboration with school leaders.
Unfortunately, our DLS parent survey from last spring proved to be very time-consuming to compile. This year, we will use a series of shorter mini-surveys that will give us quicker snapshots regarding important topics that need to be addressed, which will be much easier to report to our community.
While the overall results from last year’s survey were very positive, we know that creating a culture of continuous improvement in both academic and operational areas is key for all of us at DLS. Please review the attached document which contains the results from last year. Our thanks to all who completed the survey and to the School Accountability Committee for compiling the results. I look forward to sharing short surveys this fall via Google Forms or Survey Monkey that will allow us to receive timely feedback in an easy to analyze format.
