Kia ora<<First Name>>,

What a difference a month can make! Since our last eBreve, almost all Covid restrictions have been lifted and masks are now only mandated in health care settings. Nonetheless, we remain conscious of the higher risks associated with choral singing - and the fact that infections are on the rise again - and have refreshed our Covid advice for choirs accordingly.

Opportunities to sing together are blossoming this spring, and you’ll find details in this eBreve of upcoming ‘sing-ins’ in Wellington, Palmerston North and West Auckland for you or your choir to take part in.

Also in this month’s newsletter, John Rosser reports on his recent trip to Lisbon for the World Choral Expo and the General Assembly of the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM), plus we look back on Choral Connect ’21 and share a presentation by Dr Opeloge Ah Sam on Engaging Pasifika Music.

Sing Fauré's Requiem in November
We can't wait to host our brand new youth event for singers aged 18-25 next month in Wellington. It's time to register! We'd love you to share the news of this opportunity with any young people you know who might be keen to rekindle their love of group singing.
SingFests in full swing around NZ
Last month our Christchurch and Taranaki regions held successful SingFest events involving a total of 25 community choirs. Registrations are now open for the Manawatu-Whanganui SingFest on October 29th. Our SingFest landing page has all the details.
