Dear <<First Name>>,

Our hosting of the 2024 World Choir Games got one step closer yesterday with the release of the participant information on the World Choir Games website. Registration will open in a few weeks and will run until December 2023, but now is the time to start thinking seriously about working towards this once-in-a-lifetime on-your-doorstep international extravaganza! With two tiers of competition - one for top-level choirs and the other open to all - there are performance opportunities for everyone! And speaking of competing on an international choral stage, we were super-excited to learn of the NZ Secondary Students' Choir's success at the recent Choir of the World competition! Read on to find out more.

Meanwhile, hundreds of secondary school students around the country have been polishing their performances for The Big Sing Cadenza and Finale festivals this month. You'll find details below of how to book for the gala concerts, and also how even a small donation via our Givealittle page could make a big difference. We're thrilled that Miriama Kamo will host the Finale gala concert in the Christchurch Town Hall, and if you can't be there yourself, remember you can watch the livestream on our website!

If you're a conductor, make sure you check out the professional development opportunities in this edition of eBreve, including Giving Direction and Singing Matters workshops online, Sofi Jeannin's presentation on programming and repertoire at Choral Connect '21, and mini conferences hosted by the Institute of Registered Music Teachers at Labour Weekend.

Stay warm and well!
