Don't Forget!
This Thursday November 29 12:15 pm.

The 5th grade class is hosting a "Family Game Night"!  We have the opportunity to play great card games and board games together and to purchase our favorites!  These high-quality games from the Gamewright Company include ones like "Slamwich", "Rat-a-Tat Cat, and "Forbidden Island".  A portion of the sales will be used to fund 5th grade end of the year activities!  Pizza, cookies, and drinks will be sold.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help sell games and refreshments.  We also hope that 5th grade students may volunteer to be "Game Gurus", previewing the games and then helping families to learn the rules at the event!  Please consider donating your time to make this event a success!

Our Annual International Night is coming up. This is a really fantastic event that students and teachers get really excited about. In the gym we have numerous Lowell families decorate a table with items that represent their heritage. Students are given a passport and get a stamp at each table they visit and listen to the families' amazing stories.

Last year we had 20 countries represented, and are hoping to have a good turnout this year as well.  Also, we would like to add a programmatic element to the evening this year (music/dancing/etc)...let us know if you have something you might like to add to this endeavor (no pressure).

In addition we host a potluck dinner in the cafe. We ask any attendee to bring in a dish that represents their heritage. You don't have to have a table to bring in a dish. The amount of food we receive is staggering and it's a fantastic way for kids and adults to try some new foods.

Please sign up here to help us make this event extra special.
If you have any questions please email Sonia Smith or Julie Candiello.

Thank you,
Julie Candiello & Sonia Smith
