We hope that everyone enjoyed their holidays.  A big THANK YOU to all the members that came out on New Year's Day for our first 2015 field trip.  We had a great time.

As the new year begins, we are excited about what 2015 will bring:  guest speakers, workshops, field trips, local events, critiques, and so much more.  The SFNPCC will continue in educating our members, sharing knowledge, and supporting not-for-profit organization through photography.

We have a special treat to start off the new year.  Lorraine Thomas, a nature and bird photographer will be our guest speaker and will be presenting Tips for Better Photography.

Our very own, Jason Eldridge will be presenting Understanding the Basic of Exposure.  What is ISO anyway?  If getting the right shutter speed or aperture has always given you trouble, this meeting you can't miss.

We are pleased to announce a special presentation by the internationally award-winning photographer, Beth Ruggeiro-York. She will be presenting on the topic of Night Photography.

Come join us for the 66th Annual Homestead Championship Rodeo on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 1:30 pm. The Homestead Rodeo has been generous enough to provide the SFNPCC members attending this event a press pass.  Members must complete and sign an Agreement Form prior to the event.  There is limited space, your RSVP is needed by Monday, January 19, 2015. This field trip will be on a first come first serve bases.  
Come join us for sunrise and then afterwards; we will be practicing some of the new techniques that we learned from Lorraine Thomas' presentation on bird photography.

Photographing Starry Skies Workshop

Beth Ruggiero-York is providing a discounted workshop for the SFNPCC.  This will be a 5-hour class on photographing the landscape with starry skies in the background.

The SFNPCC is looking for photographers that would like to have their photos displayed at the Homestead ECO FAIR in the SFNPCC booth on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 12:00 pm -3:00 pm.  If you would like to display your photos, please send us an e-mail to no later than Monday, January 26, 2015.
Everglades National Park invites the public to enjoy an art exhibit by Cindy Rose.  The exhibit entitled, "River of Grass:  A Diverse Ecosystem," features stunning photographs of the Everglades.  The collection will be on exhibit at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center Gallery at the Everglades National Park during the month of January.
