The ancient Celts had a way of placing themselves into Gods presence and care, and I use it often too, you may like to try it. It’s called “ the caim” so using your index finger draw an imaginary circle all around yourself, see yourself encircled with God in that circle with you, and feel enclosed in His care. “God encircle me today”.
May this day bring sabbath rest to my heart and my home.
May Gods image in me be restored, and my imagination in God be clearer.
May the gravity of material things be lightened, and my relatively of time slow down.
May I know grace to embrace my own smallness, in the arms of Gods infinite greatness.
May Gods word feed me and His spirit lead me into this next week.
Talk to God now about what this next week will bring for you, and for others .................
It has been said. “We will never change the world by going to church,
we will only change the world by being church.“
So Lord we pray that we will be “church” where we are this week,
By being more engaged in our neighbourhoods, rediscovering prayer and quality time with You.
We want to be the kind of church that will change the world.
