Holiday Luncheon
Our Holiday General Membership lunch meeting took place at the Iron Oven restaurant on Thursday December 13, 2022. Everyone had a festive time. We had a nice group who came out. The food was excellent. Member, John Altimari bought everyone a drink. We were entertained by Cheryl, the talented harpist who gives our holiday lunch a touch of class every year. We had an art display at the luncheon courtesy of the group of ladies who call themselves "The Carriage House Painters". We also raised money at the lunch for a good cause - "The Grace Project" to help fight drug addiction.

Irish Cocktail Party Event
In March, we will be co-sponsoring an Irish Cocktail Party on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5-7pm at the Richboro Pub.  There is no charge to attend and no need to RSVP.  The music will be sponsored by the Bowen & Burns Law Office.  Food and beverage is up to you.  There will be door prizes.  So, come on out and join the fun.
Business Card Exchanges
Our Association had another BUSINESS CARD EXCHANGE (two this Summer) on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 5-7pm at the Applebee's Restaurant on Street Road in Southampton (across the street from the Post Office). We ran a unique Trivia contest called "Off the Wall Trivia" because all the answers were in the photographs on the walls of the restaurant. Our winner was Mr. Greg Crompton who won a gift certificate. Our focus was to invite more businesses currently located in Southampton to join our Association. We had a good crowd and fun was had by all.  Applebee's provided complimentary appetizers.  So, "Thank you Applebee's!"
October General Membership Lunch
The date of our October General Membership Luncheon was Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 12:00. The location was the VE Club on Davisville Road. We honored our Veterans and local Police.  We had a visit from the Bucks County Commissioner, Gene DiGirolamo who spoke to the crowd. All in attendance had a nice time and the German food was awesome.

*Reminder, at each luncheon/event, we will raffle off a gift certificate from the location we are at or purchase from one of our restaurant members involved with the event.

Association News
  • Our association has an Ad in the current edition of the Suburbanite/Carrier Pigeon. In fact, member John Altimari has generously offered to pay for us to have some ads in that publication. Thank you, John! Given the "win win" situation for all involved, we have extended an annual membership to the Carrier Pigeon.
  • Our association has an Ad in the Fall edition of the Upper Southampton Township newsletter which came out in recently.
  • The SB&PA was a sponsor for the CEF Bruce Beaton Memorial Golf Outing on June 20th, 2022 at Spring Mill Country Club.  We sponsored the putting contest.
  • Our association had field banners made to be put up on the local sports fields to advertise and to help promote children's sports programs. The banners were used for our parade float in the Southampton Days Parade.
  • Our association had an ad in the Southampton Days book.
  • Our association was also the putting contest sponsor for the Southampton Police Golf Outing which took place on August 15, 2022. Thanks to our member, John Donahue (Southampton's first Detective, now realtor extraordinaire) who ran the contest which raised money for the cause.
  • We ordered, paid for and installed a new garden plaque for the Veterans Memorial Plaza which is located at the corner of Street Road and 2nd Street Pike. The new plaque commemorates how our association members have helped take care of the corner from many years.
  • We are thinking about a similar type plaque, kiosk or sign to be associated with the new Hiking and Biking trail, part of Pennypack Trail. More information to follow.
  • We are working on an article about our association to be featured in the February issue of the local Spirit Newspaper.  Stay tuned.
Other Community News
  • There is a new road sign for Civic groups proposed and being prepared for Street Road as you enter Southampton coming from Feasterville.  We plan on participating.
