Southminster This Week
Friends,
Mother Theresa once said, "Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God."
Prayer changes us. By spending time in prayer we spend time with God and that experience molds us into more faithful people. By spending time in prayer for others we place them in the hands of God, lifting them into God's presence and asking God to love and support them.
We may not always see the results-- but over time, the power of placing ourselves and others in God's hands makes a difference.
Take some time today to put yourself in God's hands. If you can't think of anything to say, just be quiet and listen. Then take the time to lift up others-- particularly those on our prayer list this week-- and ask God to let them know that they are being held in the palm of his hands.
Peace,
Caitlin Deyerle
