NCCR Conference Participation Near and Far

In the past months, representatives of the NCCR Digital Fabrication have given over ten keynote and research presentations around the globe; in San Francisco, Sydney, Melbourne, Gothenburg and Boston. At each occasion, presenters from the NCCR invited the broader research community to join AAG2016 in September 2016 at ETH Zurich.

Research Insight: Design and Robotic Fabrication of Complex Lightweight Structures

Construction is inherently a collaborative process. Research in multi-robotic fabrication methods must address various challenges such as robotic path planning, collision avoidance and the integration of computational design approaches. However, new multi-robotic fabrication methods can also strongly increase the variety and complexity of tasks robots can undertake in the digital fabrication of architecture.
