ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Youth Internships Initiative (YII) offers internship opportunities to young people to gain additional skills and support to enter the competitive job market. The project by MMVLLEN is a response to the increasing youth unemployment rate in our region. As an organisation we believe it is important to invest into our young people's futures. The project goes hand in hand with our range of projects where we directly engage with industry and business partners, schools and training organisations as well as with the community in order to support young people with their successful transition to education and employment.
This internship opportunity is designedfor young people at risk of long-term unemployment.
Young people will have the opportunity to be matched with a skilled mentor for additional support for up to a period of 9 months.
They will receive support with pathway planning and assistance to transition into education, training or employment.
Our interns receive a total of $20 per day & travel)
To qualify for an internship the young person must be:
aged 16-24 years old
able to commit to an internship over 10 weeks for 1-2 days per week
One of our groups of interns Hawo, Aye Moe and Mohammad developed these clips as part of their project. They chose the three most most important topics they wanted young people to be aware of when choosing a training provider.
